Description
Two Modes, Two Goals
Mahjong Journey offers two distinct ways to play. Classic mode follows the familiar rule: match identical tiles that are free on at least one side. Quest mode adds a twist—you must locate and match two special golden tiles hidden within the layout. This difference changes how you scan the board and plan your moves. [IMG_1]
Seasonal Progression
Levels are grouped into four seasonal locations. Completing levels unlocks new scenery and challenges, giving a clear sense of forward movement. The seasonal themes aren't just cosmetic; they frame the puzzle layouts and reinforce the journey concept. [IMG_2]
Controls and Pacing
You interact using a mouse or touch screen, clicking matching tiles directly. Classic mode can be played with or without a timer, letting you choose between a relaxed pace and a more focused challenge. The interface stays out of the way, so new players can start immediately. [IMG_3]
Approaching the Board
Success depends on recognizing which tiles are free. Prioritize matches from the top layers to expose lower tiles. In quest mode, keep an eye out for the golden tiles and plan a route to reach them. If you get stuck, hint or shuffle features can help, though relying on them too often may slow your pattern recognition. Playing without a timer is a good way to study layouts and develop consistent strategies.
